The Krin Bushpole Drum is a krin drum playground feature that brings acoustic discovery, creative rhythm play, and sensory engagement to schools, public parks, and early learning centres. Carved from a Jarrah bushpole and played with a tethered timber beater, this outdoor percussion instrument produces a rich range of high and low resonant tones that echo through the carved wooden body.

Experimenting with sound is at the heart of the Krin Bushpole Drum’s play value — each carved slot is cut to a different length to produce a distinct tone, inviting children to explore pitch, rhythm, and resonance through hands-on play. This musical play instrument fosters creativity and self-expression, supports fine motor skill development, and encourages social connection between children.

Handcrafted in our O’Connor WA workshop using locally sourced West Australian Jarrah hardwood (subject to availability), the drum body features an angled top, carved tonal slots, and coloured oval accents painted directly on the natural Jarrah surface, finished with a weather-resistant water-based oil. All colour options are customisable to suit your project palette, and the tethered timber beater is secured with heavy-duty stainless steel wire.

Well suited to schools, early learning centres, and council parks, this krin drum playground addition is an all-abilities musical play instrument. Installation available across Perth and WA, or supply-only Australia-wide with full installation documentation for your contractor.
