The Cowbell on Bushpole is a playground cowbell that brings outdoor music play to any schoolyard or outdoor public play space. Suspended from a natural branch arm via chain, the steel bell produces a ringing tone that changes with the force of each swing.
Sound play builds an early understanding of action and response, hand-eye coordination, and musical intuition as children discover that a gentle tug and a firm pull produce entirely different tones. The shared experience — watching others ring the bell, taking turns, listening together — makes outdoor music play a social activity.
Handcrafted in our O’Connor WA workshop using locally sourced West Australian Jarrah hardwood (subject to availability), with a weather-resistant water-based oil finish. The natural bushpole is selected for its character — including the branch arm — while the cowbell and suspension chain are stainless steel for durability in exposed outdoor settings.
The Cowbell on Bushpole suits early learning centres, schools or public outdoor play space for children of all ages and abilities. Installation available across Perth and WA, or supply-only Australia-wide with full installation documentation for your contractor.
