The Van Ryt Industries team are proud to announce that we’ve been added to WALGA’s Preferred Supplier Program.
WALGA (The WA Local Government Association) is an independent, member-based, not-for-profit organisation that represents and supports the WA Local Government sector. The association advocates on behalf of 139 WA Local Governments and negotiates service agreements for the sector.
This includes its Preferred Supplier Program, which allows members to purchase goods, services and works through the extensive WALGA Preferred Supplier Panels (PSPs). WALGA recently undertook a revitalisation and restructure of its program, with changes made to modernise contracts, recognising the need to provide greater agility, ease of access and broader market reach.
This is huge news for our team, says Design Principal & Sales Luke Priddle, because “while we’ve been working closely with various Local Governments for a number of years, the program will open more doors to the benefit of communities”.
“We’re thrilled to be recognised as a WALGA Preferred Supplier, marking an exciting chapter with new opportunities ahead,” Luke said.
“It’s been a long term goal of ours (to join WALGA’s program) because of the many benefits associated with the program – both for us (the supplier) and for our clients (WA Local Government members).”
The program offers a range of benefits to WALGA Members – from saving time and money by avoiding the need to undertake a tender process, to having the confidence that all necessary due diligence and ongoing risk monitoring has been carried out on all preferred suppliers.
It’s this win/win scenario that Luke says is really worth celebrating.
“The news is really gratifying, as it shows how far Van Ryt Industries has come in the last few years,” Luke says.
“The Preferred Supplier Program is really beneficial for Local Governments, as WALGA members will be able to better procure and utilise our products and services to complement parks and public open spaces across the state, which ultimately will benefit our communities.
“I’d like to make special mention to all our team who continue to work hard to produce premium play equipment and spaces that not only look incredible, but are also fun and functional.
“We trust this exciting new chapter will open more doors for our team, and allow us to show WA more of what we have to offer.”
The WALGA Preferred Supplier Program currently delivers an annual spend of $380 million worth of goods, services and works to WALGA Members. For more information on WALGA and its Preferred Supplier Program, please visit www.walga.asn.au
